Privacy Policy — Marouf Türk & Marouf Intelligence (MSID)

1. Data Controller and Scope

This policy applies to maroufturk.com, Marouf Türk services and the Marouf Intelligence (MSID) platform, including visitors, buyers, manufacturers, suppliers and their representatives. The data controller is Hany Marouf Mohamed Marouf, operating under the Marouf Türk brand. Contact: info@maroufturk.com. 2. Data We Collect

Depending on your interaction with us, we may collect account names, email addresses, phone numbers, country, company identity and contact details, account type, verification status, product listings, images and technical documents, RFQs, quotations, messages, subscriptions, invoices, billing country, payment confirmations and transaction references. Manufacturers may submit commercial registration and tax registration documents for verification. Authentication information is processed to operate accounts; passwords should be stored as non-reversible hashes, not in readable form. We also process IP addresses, device and browser details, security logs, cookies and analytics information. Even browsing may generate technical or analytics data.

3. Purposes and Legal Bases

We use data to register and authenticate users, verify businesses, administer listings and RFQs, communicate between authorized platform participants, deliver subscriptions, process payments, provide support, prevent abuse, maintain security and comply with tax, accounting and other legal obligations. Depending on the activity and applicable law, processing may rely on performance of a contract, legal obligation, legitimate interests, or consent where required. A detailed KVKK notice and any required consent mechanism will be provided where applicable.

4. Confidential Verification Documents

Commercial and tax registration documents submitted for factory verification are stored on the company’s server and are collected for business verification and compliance purposes. They are not intended to be displayed publicly or shared with buyers, manufacturers or other platform users. Access is intended to be limited to authorized Marouf Intelligence administrators responsible for verification. These restrictions depend on the platform’s technical access controls, which must be regularly tested; no system can guarantee absolute security.

5. Product Visibility and Business Contacts

Approved product descriptions, images and selected business information may be visible to visitors or subscribers according to account permissions and the subscription plan. Business contact details may be made available to eligible paid buyers under the platform’s access rules. Confidential verification documents are excluded from public and buyer-facing profiles.

6. Payments: PayTR, PayPal and Bank Transfer

Paid subscriptions may be processed through PayTR, PayPal or direct bank transfer, where those methods are enabled on the platform. PayTR and PayPal are independent payment service providers and process relevant payment data under their own privacy notices. We may receive payment status, transaction identifiers, payer or billing information, amounts and invoice details. For bank transfers, we may process sender details, payment references, transfer receipts and reconciliation records. We do not intend to store full card numbers or card security codes on the MSID server. The appearance of a payment method in this policy does not mean it is currently enabled.

7. Sharing and International Transfers

Data may be shared with authorized buyers or manufacturers as necessary for platform functions, and with hosting, email, analytics, security, payment and accounting service providers acting under appropriate arrangements. Information may also be disclosed where legally required. International access or transfers, including through third-party services, will be assessed and safeguarded as required by Turkish KVKK and the GDPR where applicable. We do not sell personal data.

8. Retention and Deletion

As the platform’s general retention policy, account information, associated business verification documents and related platform records are retained during the subscription or account relationship and for six months after its termination or expiration. After that period, eligible data is scheduled for deletion from the company’s active server and backup systems. Backup deletion may follow the verified backup rotation schedule, and deletion procedures must be technically implemented and tested. Where applicable law requires longer retention—particularly for invoices, tax and accounting records, disputes or legal claims—only the necessary records will be kept for the legally required period. Free accounts are treated according to their account closure or inactivity rules, which must be communicated to affected users. Users may request earlier deletion where legally permitted.

9. Privacy Rights

Subject to applicable Turkish law and, where applicable, the GDPR, you may have rights to receive information about processing, access your data, correct inaccuracies, request deletion, object to or restrict certain processing, withdraw consent where applicable, and obtain eligible data in a portable format. Requests for access, correction, export or deletion can be sent to info@maroufturk.com. We may verify identity before acting and will respond within applicable legal deadlines. You may also complain to the competent data protection authority.

10. Security, Cookies and Analytics

We use account access controls and other organizational and technical measures intended to protect data. Cookies may be used for essential authentication and security, and optional analytics or marketing services may operate subject to applicable notice and consent requirements. Security services such as Cloudflare Turnstile may be used when configured. No internet-based service can guarantee complete security.

11. Children and Policy Changes

MSID is intended for business users and not for children. We may update this policy to reflect changes to our services or legal requirements. The current version and update date will appear on this page; material changes will be communicated where legally required.
