Description
Underground Waste Containers
This 5 m³ underground waste container system combines an above-ground disposal inlet with a buried collection chamber. The Marouf Türk technical document describes a crane-operated arrangement: the collection vehicle lifts the inner container through its mushroom-type attachment and opens the bottom doors to empty the waste. The system is intended for project procurement where the civil works, collection vehicle and lifting interface can be coordinated together.
System Components
- Waste inlet: a 2 mm galvanized sheet outer body with a specified RAL 5017 powder-coated finish. The disposal cover is described as 1.5 mm grade 304 stainless steel, operated by a pedal or manually.
- Pedestrian platform: a reinforced 4 mm hot-dip galvanized patterned steel platform carrying the inlet.
- Inner container: 5 m³ nominal volume with a 1.5 mm galvanized sheet body and bottom discharge doors.
- Safety platform: a counterweight-operated platform designed to cover the chamber opening when the container is lifted. The document describes a 500 × 500 mm maintenance access hatch.
- Concrete socket: a monoblock reinforced concrete chamber with specified C35 concrete and a minimum wall thickness of 135 mm.
Civil Works and Collection Planning
The technical text specifies minimum internal concrete-socket dimensions of 1,730 × 1,730 mm and a minimum depth of 2,400 mm. These are chamber dimensions, not an excavation instruction. Final drawings must establish the excavation envelope, foundation, drainage or groundwater provisions, finished pavement levels and surrounding loads for the actual site.
Confirm the collection vehicle’s crane reach, lifting capacity and attachment compatibility, together with vehicle access and operating clearance. The document describes bottom doors opening through approximately 90 degrees during discharge. Installation and lifting operations should follow the approved system drawings and the supplier’s operating instructions. The safety platform is a component of the system; its presence does not replace a site-specific operational assessment.
Specification and Supply Scope
Use the catalogue drawing to identify the inlet, lifting attachment, pedestrian deck, removable inner container and concrete chamber. Confirm the current finish, sheet thicknesses and corrosion-protection specification against the final offer. The catalogue lists two-year mechanical service/spare-parts and metal corrosion warranty terms; applicability, service territory and exclusions must be confirmed for the destination and agreed supply contract.
For a comparable quotation, state whether you require the complete container assembly, the concrete chamber, transport, installation, commissioning or maintenance support. Civil works and the collection vehicle should be listed explicitly rather than assumed to be included.
